Beware of phishing emails and text messages:
Unfortunately, so-called phishing emails or SMS are circulating again and again with the aim of eliciting sensitive data, such as credit card numbers or bank accounts.
The aim of the phishing email is clearly to cause great damage to a company or a person by "fishing" and misusing sensitive data. A phishing email usually looks like a "real" email from a reliable sender/provider. While until a few years ago these were poorly made and easily distinguishable from the original emails, the scammers are getting bolder and the fake emails are getting better.
In order to recognize such an email, you can look out for the following characteristics, among others:

  • The content can sometimes be very aggressive and emotional at the same time and is based on very personal data. Often a general greeting is used and time is pressed for.
  • There are errors in the text or the spelling is unusual.
  • The sender uses an email address of a free email provider or the domain resembles that of the real company (@enell.com, @123aruba.com).
  • A phishing email often contains links to websites that should be opened or an attachment that contains so-called macros, which could activate the malware.

we can only advise against it (unless it is an absolutely trusted person).

In case of doubt, please contact us before granting such authorization.
